6 hectares next to the Gaià river where around twenty horses, most of them rescued, live free. No stalls, in a herd, walking kilometres every single day.
Who we are
A paddock designed so that a horse can simply be a horse.
Natural Paddock was born in 2004, when Manja and Josep Ruiz rescued their first two horses and saw first-hand how much stress traditional stall boarding put on them.
Inspired by Jaime Jackson's Paddock Paradise® methodology, they designed the land with tracks and open bubbles that push the horse to walk, forage and live as part of a herd. It was one of the first Paddock Paradise setups in Catalonia and Europe.
How we work
Three pillars of natural boarding.

Freedom of movement
No stalls. Horses walk kilometres a day, following tracks and the water and forage points spread across the paddock.

Life in a herd
The social structure mirrors a natural band: two to twelve individuals that care for each other, play and share every hour of the day.

Respectful handling
Barefoot, no bit in the mouth, no gear that causes pain. Learning to read the horse comes before correcting it.

Boarding
Always accompanied.
Two options, always in company:
- Large herd, on the upper part of Natural Paddock.
- Paddocks, though we always recommend company.
The arrangement is adapted to each horse's needs.
Includes forage, daily checks, 24/7 supervision, use of tack, social area, round pen, and riding and walking trails leaving the paddock through the local paths and fields.
Corporate Use & Events
Every proposal is reviewed individually.
We open up the paddock for corporate activities (team building, company days), photo shoots, advertising shoots, and other one-off uses that want to make the most of this unique setting alongside the horses. Every proposal is reviewed individually and quoted to fit your needs — duration, technical requirements, and level of involvement from our team.

Natural Paddock works with Anna Álvarez Crispi, a trainer and coach since 1996 and founder of Equiemoció, a pioneer of horse-assisted training. Together we offer programmes for executives and company teams, in small groups and in an open-air classroom surrounded by the herd.
